New Yoga Studios Cropping Up in Miami

I keep getting emails and hearing by word of mouth about new yoga studios popping up around Miami and Miami Beach - the best part about them all is they all seem to be smaller, super cute mom and pop shops.

I haven't been to any of them yet, but here's the rundown:

The Cottage Yoga - Located on 71st and Biscayne, The Cottage Yoga "a small, charming studio offering several styles of Yoga for students of all levels. We provide an intimate, personalized practice to cater to your every need."

The Naam Yoga Miami Team

Naam Yoga - Looks like Naam Yoga just celebrated their open house this past weekend. It's mainly a Kundalini studio ran by well-know serpent risers Eugene and Jodi. Janee Alt is also part of the team. They seem to be a non-profit, which I like.

The Secrets of Yoga - Looks like another Kundalini coven being ran on 41st Street. Located above Hiperfit Gym, this looks like a pretty cute space. So, after you grab a great kosher breakfast and coffee, you can enjoy classes from Ganesha Michael Shapiro and a bunch of other teachers with whom I am not familiar with. Looks like they were also featured on Univision.

Yoga Star - Looks like Yoga Star took over the space of the old Synergy studio located in Nirvana Spa.  I came across Yoga Star randomly through a LivingSocial deal. Click here for their class schedule. They only have two teachers listed on their homepage. Looking at the site, it seems like they're still getting things up and running. Located at a great part of the beach to surf at and Nirvana has a VIP Tantra Suite, what more could you need?
