Please #KeepYogaWeird Miami

Hey, posers yogis. It's us. You know, the friends you de-friended from Facebook. We have quite a bit to tell you, and not much of it is about Miami.

Is it because we have been banned from every juice bar in the 305? No. It's because our yogic inspiration is at an all time low (awkward!).

But never fear! We can still dish out some pretty cool caca. So here it goes:

Wanderlust Festival has a #KeepYogaWeird contest happening right now, and we beg you to enter. Please, for the sake of our Miami yoga soul, revive us by entering this contest and sending us your photos. We will tweet them to our infinity of followers. PINKY SWEAR!

Wanderlusting (The Afterglow): Cameron Shayne's Budokon

While all of the programming at this past weekend's Wanderlust Festival was stellar, there were a few stand out performances. One of them being Cameron Shayne, creator and founder of Budokon. We caught a few of his classes and demos and we're thoroughly impressed - not only with his lack of clothing (hello booty shorts!) but with his extreme body knowledge.

From demonstrations with his flock of followers, to breaking down transitions here, here and here - he definitely left us wanting more. Check out our YouTube Channel for more videos from this weekend from Wanderlust Festival at the Standard and find out when and where you can get a piece of Cameron's action by viewing his schedule. Namaste.

A Minute of Meditation with Garth Stevenson

Enjoy a minute of Garth Stevenson's morning meditation in the grass circle at The Standard Miami during Wanderlust Festival this past Friday morning.

Garth led beautiful non-verbally guided meditations in the mornings during Wanderlust Festival with his 150-year-old bass. Learn more about Garth Stevenson here.

Wanderlust at The Standard - Elena Brower & Schuyler Grant

Just finished up an evening yoga session with Elena Brower & Schuyler Grant at The Standard. Great first day at Wanderlust Festival in Miami Beach. The crowd today was really chill. Schuyler was giving amazing adjustments, not too heavy but just very intuitive and well - pretty "in" there if you know what I mean. I basically feel like I got to second base with her.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow. NamasteMiami.com will simultaneously be in Garth Stevenson's 8 a.m. meditation and Cameron Shayne's Budokon class. We'll see how the rest of the day unfolds from there. We'll keep you posted.

Lusting for more Wanderlust? Check out the opening "OM" from this evening's class.

Welcome to Wanderlust Festival at The Standard

Wanderlust Festival has officially begun!
The OMing has officially begun at The Standard Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach. Wanderlust Festival started this afternoon - we were one of the first ones through the door.

We were surprised with an amazing goodie bag that included a blue SmartWater Yoga Mat and Mat Bag, an eQua Mat Towel from Manduka (our last post was about how we wanted one of these! Ask and you shall receive!), A Travel Remedy Essential Oil from H. Gillerman Organics - all packaged in a ChicoBag! Sweet!

We'll be at Wanderlust all weekend posting so check back for updates! Namaste! Planning on hitting Budakon with Cameron Shayne and Garth Stevenson's meditation in the morning.

Om, Namaste, 1Ness and Now: Gear as Art

Lyrics Cork Block - Namaste, $30
Say Namaste to Manduka's New Lyrics Collection. Very cool, artist inspired yoga gear. I'm in the market for a new yoga towl and I'm putting these at the top of my wish list. (The last one I bought felt like sandpaper and these ones are SUPER soft.)

We're gearing up (literally) for Wanderlust at The Standard, which begins tomorrow afternoon. A few of us will be there covering the event so stay tuned to the homepage and Twitter for live blogging action!
