1111Vibes & Crystal Sonic Yoga at The Standard

Good Afternoon. We are writing to inform you that this Friday night at The Standard Hotel you are invited to experience Crystal Sonic Yoga where you will be experiencing some seriously awesome vibes.

No, we're not referring to your off-key OMMMs, dear yogis. It's 1111Vibes' Andrew Clark and his magical singing bowls. Let us explain.

A few weeks ago we wandered into his studio tucked away behind the 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage. We had booked a private session and weren't sure what we were in for.

Advice: if you can book a session with him do it like NOW. There are no words to explain the gravity of how amazing it was. A truly alchemical trip.

New World Symphony of Yoga: Gratitude Edition

We owe you an apology, Miami Yogis.

Instead of sticking around for what we're sure shaped up to be a very big yoga weekend in South Florida (for obvious reasons) we blew out of town to the big apple so that we could catch the Krishna Das show on the upper west side.

Sorry! Love ya!! Mean it!!

But come on - it's KD man!! You know we have a major thing for the king of kirtan. But, if it is any consolation, we will say that being in New York for these past few chilly days - freezing our asansas off - has made us remember why we love the sunny shores of Miami Beach.

So, we promise to see you this Saturday at the annual New World Symphony of Yoga. What we do not promise is to be coherent. You can purchase tickets here (for a staggering $2.50!). Worth every penny!!

Good Times: A Sunset Speakeasy with Christy Nones

Add this event to your weekend hit list. Anusara Yoga instructor extraordinaire Christy Nones will be teaching a free class this Saturday at a "secret" location near Miami Beach's Lululemon showroom.

Yoga Infused WMC - Spin Shala H20m

We will be here and so should you. This Friday night at The Standard (one of our most favorite places to be in Miami Beach) DJ Marques Wyatt and yoga instructor Courtney Just will tune you into into your musical pulse on your yoga mat. This is basically a guaranteed good time.

Is it just us or does the yoga instructor for this event look EXACTLY like Britney Spears?  

Normally we hide from Winter Music Conference. Not that we're conservative by any means, it's just that everyone is so freaking high it makes us start having flashbacks. Then we start to feel old and end up on mushrooms at some random pool party trying figure out why glow sticks are so amazing and how could we have missed out on them for so long.

Wanderlust at The Standard - Elena Brower & Schuyler Grant

Just finished up an evening yoga session with Elena Brower & Schuyler Grant at The Standard. Great first day at Wanderlust Festival in Miami Beach. The crowd today was really chill. Schuyler was giving amazing adjustments, not too heavy but just very intuitive and well - pretty "in" there if you know what I mean. I basically feel like I got to second base with her.

Very much looking forward to tomorrow. NamasteMiami.com will simultaneously be in Garth Stevenson's 8 a.m. meditation and Cameron Shayne's Budokon class. We'll see how the rest of the day unfolds from there. We'll keep you posted.

Say Namaste to Manduka's New Lyrics Collection. Very cool, artist inspired yoga gear. I'm in the market for a new yoga towl and I'm putting these at the top of my wish list. (The last one I bought felt like sandpaper and these ones are SUPER soft.)
